FAQ's

1.  What items can I sell?

Provided the item is legal to sell on eBay, just about anything.  I accept a wide variety of items. I may advise you against listing some items on eBay, due to items not being popular or not feasible to sell, resulting in a lower price to you.

Also, items must have a projected worth of $50 or more.

2.  How long does it take?

Your item will be listed on eBay within a week, although I reserve the right to alter the starting or ending times in order to provide your auction the best possible exposure on eBay.  Most auctions will run for 7 days unless you specify otherwise.

3.  How can I check the status of my items?

Just click on my “my ebay auctions” and find your item(s).

4.  What if my item doesn't sell?

If your item doesn't sell, I will relist the item once more.  If it doesn’t sell again, I will drop the item back off at your house

5.  What starting price should I select?

The starting price you select on an auction is up to you. We will provide advice where needed, including researching recently completed auctions of simliar items for you. Many people find that starting an auction at 99 cents, usually results in a higher price with more bidders. Although we strive for the highest sale price, JerseyDrew is legally required to accept the highest bid an item receives, we cannot return it to you if it sells for less than you think it is worth.
In my experience, selecting a very low starting price, creates buyer frenzy or bidding war and usually results in a higher selling price. For instance, I started 2 identical digital cameras with the same item description on eBay. The first was started with an opening bid of $199.00 and the second was started with an opening bid of $0.99. Both items sold, however, the first camera sold for a total of $199 and had only one bid while the second camera sold for $283 and had 31 bids.

6.  Can I set a reserve price on my auction so my item doesn't sell below a minimum price?

No, I don’t do “reserve price” auctions.  We will start the minimum bid at the lowest price you’re will to accept for the item.

7.  Do I have to ship my item to the buyer?

No! This is one of the best benefits of using Jerseydrew.  I professionally package, ship, insure, and track your items with FedEx, or the U.S Postal Service. The buyer of your item pays for the shipping and handling charge, you don't!

8.  Do I have to provide photographs of my item(s)?

No, I will take beautiful photographs (in detail) each of your item(s) and include numerous photos of your item within each auction listing.  I will also be happy to use your photos if you believe they are very good.

9.  How much does it cost?

See the “fees” section.

10.  When do I get paid, how long does it take?

Typically it takes around 30 days from the time I receive your item until the time you receive your check. Or if you prefer payment by PayPal, that can be arranged too.  It takes between 1 and 5 business days to list your item and the item runs at auction for 7 days. Payment receipt is buyer dependent and ranges from immediate to 2 weeks and shipping can range from 1 to 5 days. The time can vary and be longer or shorter depending upon factors surrounding your auction; Some influencing time factors are…

  • If the winning bidder pays by mail or takes several days to pay by credit card
  • If the winning bidder pays immediately by credit card
  • If winning bidder picks up the item locally
  • If the winning bidder lives far away or very close
  • If the item requires freight shipment or special packaging
  • If the winning bidder never pays (item has to be re-sold at auction)

11.  I could list an item on eBay myself, so why should I use you?

I take the hassle out of the sale and generally can command a much higher final selling price through my Listing Expertise and Seller Reputation. I have over 800 positive feedbacks and have been doing it for quite a few years.  The following are just a few advantages, to NOT selling it yourself:

·        I eliminate the complexity.
Selling on eBay is a complex process with multiple steps. If you've never sold before, it is likely because you've seen the complexity. If you only sell infrequently, it can be daunting. I've streamlined the process and do this every day.

·        I make it convenient for you.
Even if you are up to the complexity, you must have sufficient, and not insignificant, time to invest in the process. What is your time really worth?

·        I help maximize your selling price.
A number of factors contribute to the final selling price of an item on eBay, the most important of which is the credibility of the seller, as conveyed by a high seller feedback rating. Get the benefit of my high feedback rating and excellent reputation on eBay to get a better price than you might get on your own.
